Mikhail Gorbachev Warns of Nuclear War as Result of Ukraine Crisis

Gorbachev: Russia, Ukraine & Europe Risk Nuclear War , Former Soviet leader Mikhail Gorbachev warned that nuclear war could result from the overheated, escalating tensions between Russia and Europe over Ukraine. In an interview to be published in Germany’s Der Spiegel Saturday, Gorbachev said that a major conflict could result, and that would “unavoidably lead to a nuclear war,” Reuters reports, adding: “We won’t survive the coming years if someone loses their nerve in this overheated situation,” added Gorbachev, 83. “This is not something I’m saying thoughtlessly. I am extremely concerned.”

Who is Lindsey Williams
