True freedom is only possible under conditions of self-sufficiency. Everyone who promotes the old paradigm of industrial over-consumption supports a money culture of enslavement.With a total economic collapse of the United States, the need for oil will be greatly reduced because there won't be anywhere near the domestic oil consumption as in the past. With no manufacturing to speak of and a valueless currency, there wouldn't be much of a reason to greatly increase domestic production. Jobless, homeless indebted people simply can't afford the luxury of driving their cars everywhere. microeconomies will form with local production, mainly agricultural. Low oil consumption.
